Okay, you all know the song “I’m Everywoman, it’s all in me…” Oprah used it, Whitney and Chaka belted it, and now I’m embracing it as a philosophy.
It all started during a job interview at a gym. The manager asked me why I wasn’t already working in the fitness industry, since I enjoyed exercise and running. “I don’t look the part,” I told her. She responded with, “Ahh, but YOU are an everywoman….” And so it goes.
Being healthy, not perfect is a mantra I can live with. It takes the pressure off of me, and allows me to live with joy and not deprivation. Who doesn’t want more joy??? Join me in appreciating the simple pleasure that comes with being healthy, feeling confident, and loving the body you’re in. Or, at least loving it most of the time. Nobody’s perfect, right?
This site is dedicated to EveryWomen everywhere, who may need a little guidance or inspiration now and then. I’m not trying to reinvent the wheel, just to provide you with a few things that make my life better. Watch for new postings monthly as I update the links!
Happy living/running/training,
Andrea
