Why Every Woman Fitness

Because getting into life-long healthy exercise habits is hard.

Overwhelming evidence from medical, physiological, and public health studies clearly show links between exercise and endless benefits, including:

  • Longer healthspans (the total time of our lives in which we can function independently without excessive pain or fatigue following daily tasks).

We want to share our life long passion and learnings with you

We are fortunate to have been exposed to and enjoyed exploring our full self’s through sports for most of our lives. Kami ran in college. Nikki ski raced. We competed from an early age and had some excellent coaching along the way. Understanding physiology and how our bodies moved through sport, and the language surrounding exercise, is a privilege.

We recognize how fortunate we are to not be intimidated by exercise and appreciate those starting their exercise journey as adults may not be as fortunate. Our coaches gave us a gift in their kind instruction. We want Every Woman to experience the privilege of starting or continuing an exercise program with support and encouragement.

Creating inclusive fitness

For people who didn’t grow up with a life focused largely on sports, taking the first step into exercise can be intimidating. When athletes focused on similar sports talk, it can sound like they are speaking a foreign language. They speak of reps, bonking, getting swole, and heaps of other jargon.

Whether it be a group of gym aficionados, ski racers or pickle ball fanatics, these groups can feel uninviting to those outside the tribe. Like a cult they have common jargon, inside jokes and knowledge of unwritten rules governing the subculture. We believe most individuals within these groups love inviting new people to their group. They are not trying to be exclusive, but they are bonded together in sport and unwittingly intimidate the uninitiated.

We want Every Woman who wants to become healthier to feel included.

Our commitment to you

Expect to find definitions of individual exercises and what to do with them in these pages. We break down the jargon and help you find where you should start, and at what effort you should be working. We also work hard to help you understand proper form, as form is foundational to avoiding the risk of injury.

And if, after reading our descriptions and watching our videos, you still feel confused or even intimidated, please contact us through the Help & Support function found on your Dashboard. If you are confused by what we are asking you to do, our job is to explain better. If you have a question, other people have that same question, and by asking for clarification, you will help us make a more accessible program for every woman.

Our goal is to teach you to integrate exercise into your life as seamlessly as possible. Not only do we want you to feel supported, but we want to help you find ways to sneak exercise into your daily life. Barriers to exercise will always exist. We want to help you blow through those barriers.
